Civil War letters, 1862-1865.

Letters written by three Roberts brothers who served in the Civil War: Jesse Roberts in Company F, 7th Wisconsin Infantry Regiment (1862); William Roberts in Company G, 33rd Wisconsin Infantry Regiment (1864); and Israel Roberts in Company C, 2nd Wisconsin Cavalry Regiment (1865); commenting on the Potomac Campaign of 1862, army life, and soldiers' attitudes toward the war. There are five original letters with typewritten copies of each.
